What the hell's a blog?
are they compatible with Theme Manager
Published on March 20, 2007 By Lantec In Stardock Support General
I was interested in get one of the My Colors themes (UF Gators, looks awesome guys) but before I purchase, I'm wondering if it will cause any conflicts/problems/additional overhead with my Object Desktop programs and if it will be compatible with Theme Manager.
Thanks

I've been curious about that too..

There was a post not too long ago concerning issues that seem to be related to My Colors.... link
Poster already had apps (WB, etc) installed and got skin errors changing from MC to WB... uninstalling MC cleared up the WB issue.

I'm thinking it might be along the lines of AlienGuise vs Thememgr - caused issues for some. When I downloaded AG I seem to recall getting a prompt about 'you seem to have SD TM installed, etc., do you wish to keep that as the default?'

Maybe they've got a version for us ODNT users that doesn't install My Colors.......

I purchased the Texas Hold ‘Em suite. After downloading, extracted the Texas Hold Em.suite to the Theme manager and double click. Installation is easy and I have had no problems.

I appreciate the response
I believe Texas Hold'em is sold as a suite not a "My Colors" skin. The difference is you need ODNT for Texas Hold'em but the My Colors skins are standalone. You don't need Windowblinds or Inconpackager etc.

You'd be paying twice with the MyColors stuff anyway if you already have ODNT. They cost more because they have the software bundled with it ($20 for MyColors compared to $10 for a suite).

Is there a discount for ODNT customers?  May have to add one to my shopping cart.

Do I need to submit a formal request to support@stardock.com to find out an answer to my question?

If you do, can you post the response here?

I suppose everyone will have to forgive my ignorance, but I'm not exactly sure what Sir Lantec means by "bump". I too would like to know whether MyColors themes are/will be made available in a more Object Desktop-friendly version.
